Duties Include:
his is a 96-bed facility located in rural Pennsylvania. This facility was formerly a mansion in Westfield. Big city conveniences and stores such as Walmart are located 45 minutes away, but in Westfield, you can enjoy a cup of coffee at the local coffee shop or some of the local bakery goods of the Amish. This is a great adventure for the outdoors enthusiast with a lower cost of living as well. The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon is also nearby to explore.
The Assistant Director of Nursing assists the DON/CNO in directing, planning, coordinating, monitoring and supervising the effective and efficient use of the operations of nursing and the safe delivery of behavioral health/nursing services with a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude. Ensures the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with the facility’s strategic goals and objectives.
Requirements:
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required, BSN preferred
LICENSE/CERT: PA or PA Compact RN license; Certified in Psychiatric Nursing preferred
EXP: 5 years of experience required. Five or more years’ experience in nursing practice required. Two or more years’ psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred. Ability to effectively assess, plan and implement therapeutic nursing services in a multidisciplinary setting. Skills in assessment, considerable knowledge of nursing principles and practice, staffing, budgeting, employee management, regulatory requirements and documentation of care; ability to meet regulatory requirements.
