Position: Special Education Paraprofessional
Location: Sarasota County, Florida

Contract Length: 30 weeks

Shift: Monday–Friday | 7.5-hour shifts
Pay Rate: $22/hr
Paraprofessional Duties: As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll:
Assist and implement instructional activities for students with special needs
Support teachers and staff with behavioral management strategies
Create and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Assist with personal care duties (toileting, feeding, hygiene, and more)
Monitor student progress and support data collection
Participate in IEP implementation and classroom modifications
Serve as a reliable team member in classrooms and school-wide duties
Support students' emotional, behavioral, and academic development
Communicate with staff and families as part of a collaborative team
Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills
Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and school district policies
Paraprofessional Requirements: To qualify for this Special Education Paraprofessional job in Sarasota County, you must have:
High school diploma or equivalent
One of the following:
A passing Para Pro Assessment Test score
An Associate of Arts/Science degree
60 college credit hours from an accredited institution
