Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Non-Certified Behavioral Health Assistant to support a Psychiatric Hospital in Anderson, South Carolina for individuals experiencing mental health or behavioral challenges. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about mental health and eager to gain hands-on experience in the field.
Assist clients with daily living activities in a safe and therapeutic environment
Support implementation of individual treatment plans under the direction of licensed staff
Observe and document client behavior, mood, and overall progress
Maintain a clean and structured environment conducive to recovery and wellness
Participate in de-escalation and crisis prevention strategies as needed
Escort clients to and from activities, meals, and appointments as directed
Promote client engagement and involvement in therapeutic and recreational activities
Communicate effectively with team members regarding client needs and concerns
Uphold confidentiality and comply with all facility policies and procedures
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience in a behavioral health, social service, or related setting preferred but not required
Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
