Job Description


We have an immediate opening for reliable Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) for a 13 week contract in Brenham, TX.
 
Specialty: Behavioral Health
Location: Brenham, TX
Facility type: State Supported Living Center 
Pay rate: $40 per hour 
Start Date: ASAP 
Type: 13 week contract 
Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday | Work hours will be dependent on how many individuals require services 
 
 
Duties:
  • Responsibility of counselor will be to provide clinical care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and psychiatric diagnoses
  • Conducting one-on-one counseling
  • Developing treatment plans and providing progress reports.
  • Counselor will coordinate therapeutic rehabilitation activities for individuals within a program area
  • Develop protocols in habilitation or rehabilitation therapy services.
  • Works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment
  • Meet with the Director/Assistant Director of Behavior Health Services at least quarterly.
  • Performs behavioral evaluations and counseling services while determining psychiatric and counseling needs and is responsible for documentation
Requirements:
  • Candidate must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors)
  • Previous work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is required
