Medical Director / Primary Care Physician Responsibilities:Clinical Leadership:
Lead and supervise clinical providers in a busy outpatient primary care setting
Ensure high-quality patient care and clinical best practices
Mentor physicians and advanced practice providers
Administrative Duties:
Collaborate with the executive team (CEO, CMO, VP) on healthcare operations
Participate in provider recruitment, retention, and performance reviews
Ensure compliance with federal regulations, RHC standards, and facility bylaws
Manage interdepartmental collaboration and staff communication
Quality Improvement & Innovation:
Drive value-based care, ACO metrics, and population health initiatives
Act as EMR superuser, addressing workflow and system optimization
Promote wellness programs and address social determinants of health
Serve as community liaison and advocate for patient engagement
Qualifications for Medical Director Role:
Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO)
Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care
Minimum 5 years clinical experience (required)
Previous experience as a Medical Director, Physician Leader, or Practice Chair strongly preferred
