Job Description

 Medical Edge Recruitment is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our healthcare team. The Nuclear Medicine Technician will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, conducting diagnostic imaging procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the imaging process. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, a solid understanding of radiation safety, and a patient-centered approach to care.

This is for a 13 week temp to perm contract at a Medical Center in Graham, TX. The shift is a 8 hour day shift for the following requirements:

Pay Rate:  $70/hr
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Type: 13 Week Temp to Perm Contract
Shift/Hours: 8hr day shift (8a – 4:30p)

Duties Include:
  • Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes in accordance with physician orders.
  • Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras, PET/CT scanners, and computers to capture functional images of organs and body systems.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, explain procedures, and provide support throughout the diagnostic process.
  • Maintain detailed patient records, including procedure logs and dosage documentation.
  • Apply radiation safety protocols and monitor for contamination or exposure risks.
  • Calibrate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment and verify its functionality.
  • Adhere to state and federal regulatory guidelines, including NRC and OSHA standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff to interpret and deliver accurate diagnostic results.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and continuing education to maintain credentials.

Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
  • Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-NM) required.
  • State licensure (if applicable).
  • Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
