Job Details:

  • Position: Psychiatric RN / Behavioral Health RN

  • Location: Huntington, West Virginia

  • Facility Type: Psychiatric Hospital

  • Start Date: June 28, 2025

  • Pay Rate: $45/hr

  • Contract Length: 6 months

  • Shifts: 8 or 12 hours, rotating weekends

  • Open to: Local and Travel RNs
Key Responsibilities for Psychiatric RNs:

  • Perform patient assessments and diagnostic testing to evaluate mental and physical health

  • Administer medications and psychiatric treatments as prescribed

  • Participate in care planning and ensure proper execution

  • Supervise LPNs and nursing assistants on shift

  • Communicate changes in patient conditions with physicians

  • Document all care activities per policy

  • Provide education to patients and families about mental health and treatment plans
Requirements to Apply:

  • Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited school

  • Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in West Virginia or compact state

  • Minimum 1 year of acute psychiatric RN experience

  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
