Job Description

We have an immediate opening for an RN (Registered Nurse) for a 13 week contract at a hospital in Fort Worth, TX.

Type: 13 Week contract
Shift/Hours: 8 hour shifts
 

Duties Include:
  • Assess the physical, psychosocial, environmental, safety, and developmental needs of the patient and family.
  • Individualize the patient's care plan based on identified needs.
  • Document problems, nursing assessments, goals, interventions, and patient and family outcomes.
  • Develop a personalized pain management plan by assessing all aspects of the patient's pain.
  • Anticipate, prevent, and treat undesirable or secondary symptoms.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings to establish, review, and revise the care plan.
  • Ensure up-to-date patient records with accurate, clear, and complete information.
  • Educate the patient, caregivers, and volunteers on interventions, medications, and side effects.
  • Implement care to achieve comfort, safety in dying, life closure, and grieving for patient and family.
  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Address the comfort care needs of the patient.
  • Support and instruct the patient, family, and caregiver, and coordinate all services.
  • Maintain the dignity of the dying patient and support their spiritual and cultural beliefs.
  • Provide holistic, family-centered care across treatment settings to improve quality of life.
  • Consult and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and others involved in patient care.
  • Provide care according to the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s standards.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Valid State licensure as an RN.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience
  • Current BLS certification.
