Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract
Step Down RN Duties Include: As a Step Down Registered Nurse, you’ll:
Assess patient conditions through physical exams and diagnostics
Administer medications, IVs, and therapeutic treatments
Create and implement individualized care plans
Oversee and support LPNs and nursing assistants
Communicate directly with physicians and the care team
Document all care per hospital policies and procedures
Educate patients and families on care and recovery

Step Down RN Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Active RN license (Iowa or compact)
Minimum 1–2 years of Step Down or acute care RN experience
Current BLS certification
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
