Shift/Hours: 40hrs per week (8a – 5p)
Duties Include:
- Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and interpret relevant clinical and behavioral data for clients.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans in coordination with therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate clients and families on nutrition-related topics to support mental and physical health goals.
- Monitor the effectiveness of nutritional interventions and adjust plans as needed.
- Provide counseling for clients experiencing disordered eating patterns, substance use recovery, or chronic mental illness.
- Assist in the development and delivery of group nutrition education sessions.
- Ensure documentation complies with all regulatory, ethical, and professional standards.
- Stay current on evidence-based practices related to nutrition and mental health.
- Contribute to staff training on the role of nutrition in behavioral health.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field from an accredited program.
- Licensed Dietitian in the state of Missouri
- 1–3 years of experience working in behavioral health, psychiatric care, or a clinical setting preferred
- Experience with eating disorders, trauma-informed care, or substance use disorders is highly valued
