Your Role as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in St. Joseph, you'll play a key role in supporting students’ communication goals through meaningful, hands-on therapy. You’ll work under the guidance of an experienced SLP to help students succeed in and out of the classroom.
SLPA Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with standardized speech and language assessments
- Support diagnosis of speech/language disorders including articulation, fluency, and more
- Implement individualized therapy plans created by supervising SLPs
- Work one-on-one and in groups with students facing communication or swallowing challenges
- Track student progress and maintain detailed documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to ensure student success

SLPA Requirements – What You’ll Need:
Active Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license in Missouri
At least 1 year of SLPA experience (school-based preferred!)
