Job Title: Surgical Technician – General Surgery (Contract)
Overview:
Medical Edge Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Surgical Technician for an immediate contract opportunity in Lafayette, LA. This position offers a dynamic environment within a hospital setting, focusing on general surgery and related specialties. Join our team and play a vital role in supporting surgical teams while advancing your professional experience.
Pay Package:
$17 per hour plus an additional $900 weekly stipend. The contract duration is 13 weeks, with 8-hour daytime shifts.
Required Skills:
Current and valid Surgical Technician Certification in Louisiana
Minimum of 2 years of surgical technician experience
Current and valid BLS certification
Strong background in General Surgery, ENT, Urology, OB/GYN, Podiatry, and Pain Management
Proven ability to assist in a fast-paced operative environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
Prior experience working in hospital surgical units
Comprehensive understanding of surgical procedures across multiple specialties
Other Requirements:
Must pass a criminal record check as mandated by state law
Shift commitment: 8 hours per day, weekdays
No additional license or certification requirements beyond those listed
