Job Title: Dialysis Technician

Overview:
Join our team as a Dialysis Technician and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will be responsible for preparing and monitoring dialysis treatments, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the medical team. Required Skills:
  • Ability to prepare dialysate according to prescribed protocols
  • Proficiency in obtaining and documenting vital signs and patient observations
  • Skilled in inspecting vascular access and initiating dialysis procedures
  • Knowledge of blood flow rate adjustments and anticoagulant administration
  • Capable of responding to dialysis alarms and emergencies effectively
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with nursing staff and document treatment parameters
  • Ability to follow strict protocols for equipment sanitization and patient safety
  • Basic clinical skills such as changing bandages and preparing samples for testing
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation and flow sheet completion

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Previous experience in a dialysis or similar clinical setting preferred
  • Experience with vascular access management and emergency response is advantageous
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare training is a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Schedule includes days off every Sunday and either Tuesday or Wednesday (second day off set during orientation)
  • Orientation must be scheduled on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, 8:30 am to approximately noon
  • Must report with a valid driver’s license
  • Items must be brought in a clear plastic bag; cell phones and smart watches are not permitted inside the facility
  • Must be able to work and respond effectively in emergency situations, including initiation of CPR if needed
  • Certifications/licenses related to patient care are required and should be provided upon hire
