 We have an immediate opening for a Family Medicine Physician for a Perm Placement position within a Community Clinic located in Los Angeles, CA.

Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtain medical, social and developmental histories.
Perform physical exams and immunizations on all patients.
Initiate laboratory exams and studies as indicated.
Provide health education and counseling.
Management of all acute and chronic illnesses to and above community standards at all times.
Consult with and Refer to appropriate specialist in regards to high risk or complex patients.
Management of services in accordance with established clinic policies/procedures and contracted services under CHDP, Managed Medical Care and other medical programs and guidelines.
Exercise judgment in establishing priorities of medical care in triage situations.
Participation in clinic’s Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) program.
Provide case management with other health care team members.
Provide consultations to other Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistant
Maintain a positive working relationship with staff.
Other duties as designated by the Medical Director or Executive Director.
Required Education/Experience and/or Licensure/Certifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited university (if foreign medical graduate, must pass all required USMLE exams and/or completed an accredited residency program in the US)
Active California Medical License (M.D. or D.O.)
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family Practice
Active DEA License
Must have a Nat'l Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain an NPI, prior to employment start date.
Have approved credentials with Health Plans
Commitment to goals and philosophy of clinic
Current CPR and/or BLS Certification
Valid State Identification
