Job Description
Job Title: Licensed Behavioral Health Professional
Overview:
Join our team as a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional for a dedicated 13-week contract at a correctional facility in Goshen, NY. This vital role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a challenging environment, leveraging your expertise to serve a unique patient population. If you're committed to providing compassionate mental health support and thrive in dynamic settings, this position is your next career step.
Pay Package:
$51 per hour, with additional benefits including travel and housing stipends, weekly direct deposit, and a comprehensive health plan.
Required Skills:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Human Services field
Licensure/certification as a Behavioral Health Professional
One or more years of experience working with a similar patient population
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a correctional setting and handle challenging situations professionally
Preferred Education and Experience:
Advanced understanding of correctional mental health systems
Proven experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
Other Requirements:
Availability to work from 9 am to 5 pm
Ability to start within three weeks from offer
Valid license/certification in the respective field
No additional travel or shift requirements specified
