Job Description
  We have an immediate opening for a Custodian for a Temp to Perm position at a Nursing Home in Bennington, VT.  The ideal candidate is self-motivated, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working outdoors in all types of weather. 32 - 40 hrs per week. Starting with a 7a – 3p shift with the following requirements:

Assignment Type: Temp to Perm
Shift/Hours: Day shift - Monday – Friday (Must be available on weekends)
Duties Include:
Routine manual work involving custodial, housekeeping, and laundry duties on the secure, certified dementia unit.
Work assignments are received in the form of oral or written instructions and are subject to inspection while in progress or upon completion.
Work is performed under the supervision of a Custodial or Administrative supervisor.
Duties are performed during an assigned shift
Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather. Good physical condition required. Considerable standing, walking, lifting, and carrying of heavy objects may be required. Weekend and evening hours may be required.
Duties are performed in a nursing home environment, including office, common areas and patient care areas.
Direct interactions with patients may be extensive, leading to potential exposure to infectious disease or physical injury. Incumbents must be prepared to drive a vehicle in all types of weather.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Preferred at least one (1) year of experience as a custodian or housekeeper in a health care or other institutional setting.
