Medical Edge is seeking a temporary part-time heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) worker to assist with system installation and maintenance. The work involves performing preventative maintenance and assisting with repairs of the HVAC equipment, as well as the facility's energy monitoring systems. The incumbent will work under the direction of the HVAC Technician. 24hrs per week. Starting with a 6a – 3p shift with the following requirements:
Specialty: HVAC Technician Location: Bennington, VT Facility type: Nursing Home Pay Rate: $23/hr Start Date: ASAP Assignment Type: Temp to Perm Shift/Hours: Day shift - Monday – Friday (Must be available on weekends)
Duties Include:
Contact with patients may be anticipated.
Incumbents may encounter harassment or hostile behavior and must be able to respond in a calm and professional manner.
Work with pressurized systems may be required on occasion. Work in all weather conditions is required.
Must be able to climb ladders, lift weights up to 75 pounds, and work in cramped, wet, or poorly ventilated areas.
Climbing, crawling, reaching and standing, for extended periods of time are often required.
This position may require emergency response to calls outside of regular work hours.
Some potential for physical injury may be present.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One (1) or more years of experience in building maintenance and/or HVAC systems.
OR
One (1) or more years of training or education related to building maintenance and/or HVAC systems.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Possession a current Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certificate.
Possession of a Vermont Specialist License for Refrigeration & Air Conditioning systems.
Possession of an R-410 Safety Certificate.
Possession of a Specialist License for Heating System
