Job Description
Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Retirement Community
Overview:
Join our team as a Physical Therapy Assistant in a rewarding retirement community setting. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential rehabilitative care, improve residents' quality of life, and work in a supportive environment dedicated to patient well-being. Your expertise will directly impact the health and happiness of our senior residents.
Pay Package: $40 per hour
Required Skills:
Proven experience assisting with therapeutic exercises and treatments under supervision
Ability to evaluate and document patient progress accurately
Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and residents
Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control standards
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills related to patient care
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
Preferred Education and Experience:
Completion of a recognized Physical Therapy Assistant program
Previous experience working in a senior or retirement community setting
Familiarity with rehabilitation techniques specific to aging populations
Other Requirements:
Ability to work flexible hours, possibly including weekends or holidays
Must hold and maintain applicable state licensure or registration for Physical Therapy Assistants
No additional certifications required unless specified
