Overview:
Join Medical Edge Recruitment as a Registered Nurse in a vital 13-week contract at a reputable hospital in Des Moines, IA. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your Med Surg expertise, providing compassionate patient care while advancing your career in a dynamic healthcare environment. If you’re a dedicated RN with a recent Med Surg background, we want to hear from you.
Pay Package:
$48-$60 per hour, with an average weekly pay of approximately $2,230.
Required Skills:
Valid Iowa (or compact state) RN license
Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg RN experience
Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
Ability to assess and admit patients, administer treatments, and monitor vital signs
Skilled in operating medical equipment, running and interpreting tests, and charting patient progress
Excellent coordination with physicians and healthcare teams
Preferred Education and Experience:
Prior experience in hospital Med Surg and Emergency Care settings
Demonstrated ability to handle a fast-paced clinical environment
Other Requirements:
Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, days or nights
Criminal record check required per state law
Ability to adapt to hospital policies and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
