Overview:
Join Medical Edge Recruitment as a Travel RN in Labor & Delivery, where your expertise will be vital in delivering exceptional maternal and newborn care. Pay Package:
Weekly pay of $1,800
Required Skills:
Valid and current state RN license
Minimum of 1+ year of experience in labor and delivery nursing
Current AWONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Strong patient assessment skills including monitoring maternal vital signs, contractions, cervical dilation, and fetal heart rate
Ability to support and comfort patients through labor and delivery processes
Proficiency in administering medications, including pain relief and epidurals
Skills in assisting with childbirth procedures such as C-sections, vacuum, or forceps-assisted deliveries
Experience in placing IV lines, catheters, and preparing surgical tools
Capable of maternal monitoring during postpartum recovery
Competence in assessing and caring for newborns immediately after birth
Excellent documentation skills in EMR systems
Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare team members
Emergency response skills to handle labor and delivery complications
Preferred Education and Experience:
Registered Nurse with at least one year of experience in labor and delivery
Relevant certifications in fetal monitoring and basic life support
Other Requirements:
Valid state RN license in Maryland
Ability to work a 13-week assignment starting September 19, 2025
Willingness to work shifts as required (additional details to be confirmed)
