Job Title: Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse (NICU RN)
Overview:
Join our team as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, a critical role dedicated to providing exceptional care to the most vulnerable neonatal patients. You will leverage your expertise in high-acuity neonatal care to support micro-preemies, surgical neonates, and complex medical cases. As a key member of our healthcare team, you’ll deliver personalized, evidence-based care within a collaborative environment committed to achieving optimal patient outcomes and fostering professional growth.
Pay Package: $29 per hour with weekly stipend of $1,100
Schedule: 6:45pm - 7:15am
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Level 3 surgical or Level 4 NICU settings.
Strong background in high-acuity neonatal care, including micro-preemies, surgical neonates, and complex medical cases.
Proficiency with ventilators (conventional and HFV), nitric, cooling, and central line care.
Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients safely and effectively.
Competent in neonatal resuscitation, critical drips, and hemodynamic monitoring.
Excellent organizational skills, good judgment, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Demonstrates effective delegation, team leadership, and resource management.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
Additional certification in clinical specialty areas.
Other Requirements:
Current Louisiana RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Ability to perform heavy physical work, including lifting and moving patients and equipment, in accordance with job demands.
Ability to work flexible shifts as needed.
