Job Description
Job Title: Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse (NICU)
Overview:
Join Medical Edge Recruitment and become a vital part of our dedicated healthcare team as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse (NICU). This critical care role offers a 13-week assignment where your expertise will directly impact the lives of high-risk infants and their families. We are committed to providing exceptional support, ensuring you have the resources and environment to excel in this rewarding specialty.
Pay Package:
Hourly pay rate of $50, with opportunities for stipends and comprehensive benefits.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
Valid state RN license
1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in neonatal or critical care settings
BLS and ACLS certifications
Proactive in patient care planning and execution
Ability to perform diagnostic procedures, such as electrocardiograms, and assist with medical procedures
Strong communication skills to partner effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Capable of responding swiftly to neonatal emergencies and providing immediate life-saving interventions
Experience in hands-on newborn care, including feeding, bathing, and diapering
Preferred Education and Experience:
Prior experience in NICU or neonatal critical care nursing
Relevant certifications or specialized training in neonatal care or pediatric advanced life support (PALS)
Other Requirements:
Availability to work 12-hour night shifts
Willingness to participate in ongoing clinical data collection and protocol development
Must meet all healthcare system policies and clinical competency standards
Additional licensure or certifications required upon assignment
